Put Away the Sunscreen, Break Out the Snorkels

Looks like a cool, crisp morning for the 5k tomorrow, but Sunday's half marathon looks a bit dicey, no? Cape Hatteras area is showing 2-3" of rain. The last few miles of the half marathon (on a dirt road and trail) may turn into a mud run.

Saturday PM Update:

Well, things have apparently taken a turn. The Outer Banks and Hatteras are officially on the Weather watcher map. 20mph winds and localized flooding for a half marathon, with the final three miles on dirt roads and trail through a nature preserve. Are. You. Kidding?  I don't care what it looks like, this thing better not be cancelled.
